Carter Glass

Carter Glass was born in Lynchberg, Virginia, on January 4, 1858.  He was a Democratic Representative for Virginia from 1901 to 1918, then became a Senator for Virginia from 1919 until he died in 1946 from heart failure.  He worked with Harry B. Steagall to create the Glass-Steagall act. Carter was 20 years older then Harry Steagall.
